During some years, in order to use the free facilities of the darkroom, students were required to provide Balcony Square, the student newspaper, with at least two photographic prints to be published in the newspaper. The darkroom was used for black and white processing but was also equipped for colour work and Cibachrome. The darkroom was located one floor under the Meeting Place in room S-203, next to CKSR, the campus radio station office. The Scarborough College Student Council Darkroom opened in 1972 when Greg Fitz, together with the student council, proposed a budget to Scarborough College administration to build the darkroom. The fonds also includes textual material such as U of T songbooks, stationery, and magazines mentioning Greg Fitz.
