In addition to serving as Chair of the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Digital Tools for Qualitative Research at the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, she is the 2017 recipient of the McGraw Hill Distinguished Scholar Award at the Ethnographic and Qualitative Research Conference. Kristi’s theoretical frames tend to be sociological and her research interests include conceptualizations of qualitative research transparency and the constantly changing spaces where qualitative researchers and technologies meet.

With over 25 years of experience in qualitative research design, data collection, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder relations, she is also an expert in a diverse array of qualitative methodologies.

She is co-author of Sage Publication’s best-selling Qualitative Data Analysis with NVivo and serves clients in almost every state in the USA. Kristi Jackson is an internationally recognized expert in NVivo, one of the most popular Qualitative Data Analysis Software (QDAS) options. Īlthough these sessions focus primarily on text-based data, such as interviews, field notes, and literature (in Word or PDF format), if you have other forms of data such as video, photographs and social media files, you will also have an opportunity to import and work with these data at the end of each session. Participants who do not own the software may download a free 14-day trial at. Kristi will also provide sample data for participants to use in the training. The sessions will be delivered with NVivo 11 Pro for Windows, although the sessions are also appropriate for individuals using NVivo 11 Starter for Windows, NVivo Plus for Windows, or NVivo 10 for Windows. Bring a Windows laptop with the software already installed and follow along hands-on.
